History of the US Taxpayers Party

The Harvard Club, overlooking the Boston Harbor where on December 16, 1773 a band of patriots had set the stage for the American Revolution by conducting the Boston Tea Party, hosted the beginnings of yet another revolution. Article continued below the picture.Facebook USTPM Logo

The US Taxpayers Party of Michigan is a ballot qualified party.  According to Ballot Access News, it, together with its national affiliate, is the third largest political party in American in terms of voter registration and it is without question the fastest growing.

It stands strong with our founding fathers and understands that the only path to national and state restoration is to limit government to its constitutional boundaries so it can hear the people once again.

There have been many great men and women involved in the development of the party.  The US Taxpayers Party is unquestionably the party of choice for patriots today. The US Taxpayer Party of Michigan is positioned to become a major contender for influence in the political arena.

People have become increasingly frustrated with the two big parties and are seeking virtue in politics again. There is a choice. For those that have had enough cronyism and corruption come on over the Constitution is nice.

Why Vote USTPM? Because a vote for anyone less than the right person for the job is a wasted vote. Because voting for the lesser of two evils has gotten us where we are today as a state and country!

All that is required is for people to be determined to rebuild the fragments that have been left behind by the parties they entrusted to manage government and society; those who have selfishly taken from the public to accomplish their own purposes.

The US Taxpayers Party is the Michigan recognized affiliate of the Nation Constitution Party. Please join with us to rebuild and strengthen these United States and the great State of Michigan.

An Inside Look at What’s Wrong in the MIGOP

If anyone cares to look at the information in this report you will get a clear view of how the MIGOP is not serving its members or those who elect its so-called Republicans.

The bottom line is that those Republicans thinking that the MIGOP represents them and or the Republican Party platform including principles and values, you are sadly mistaken. Duress and Distress Describes the MIGOP

While I have compiled to much information as to post in this report after reading it you will have a real good grasp of what is really going on within the “good ‘ole boys club.”

It’s all about self serving individuals who care not for state, country and the Republican Party or what it is supposed to stand for but for self enrichment and a feeling of being a part of the corrupt club.

The MIGOP make no mistake about it has been infiltrated by the Democrats who left their Party because it had moved to far to the left. What we have now is nothing more than Democrats masquerading as Republicans.

Here’s a social media conversation where MIGOP “hacks” decided to exchange some unpleasant disrespect to newly elected Conservative Republican Representative Todd Courser. Snake-oil-salesman475

Well, even with the odds in my favor I selected number 112 out of 114. I don’t know who the two were that drew worse than me, but our office was so small, part of our staff had to work in the broom closet down the hall.

Many of these same participants are also advocates of amending the Elliot Larsen Act which goes against the Republican Party Plank that marriage should be between one woman and one man as stated in the Party platform and the continued disrespectful rants on Conservative Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema.

There are many, many other names of so-called establishment supporting players than those listed in the message above that are not friends of Freedom and Liberty.

The “Friends and Family” Program along with the “Business Buddies” Fund are alive and well within the “Good ‘Ole Boys” Club of the MIGOP and for the members, grassroots, conservatives and the Tea Party faithful that are not in good standing your not part of their little click.

MIGOP “Tactics” as to get “Their” Chosen Candidates Elected

I’m sure this is going on all over the state as to stifle the Grassroots, Conservatives and Tea Party that dare challenge the establishment but this one is in my own backyard. We all have seen how the MIGOP establishment has gone after and targeted two conservatives Justin Amash and Kerry Bentivolio. Jason Sheppard and Richardville

I had seen in my facebook notifications that one of my facebook friends liked a page so I investigated. To my surprise and shock I couldn’t believe that many of my conservative friends would like a “yes man” for Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville for State Rep.

The MIGOP establishment has a plan in place as to get their chosen candidates elected and will go to any and all lengths as to make sure this happens. Let’s take a close look at just one example in my district how they are going about this.

State Rep. Dale Zorn was first elected in November 2010 to the Michigan House to represent the residents of Monroe County for a two year term this after being a county commissioner for the past 20 years. Has he ever worked in the private sector? How many years is enough of feeding at the public trough? Zorn failed we the people are michigan ad

Now with Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville being term limited Mr. Zorn will forgo his final two years of eligibility as a House Rep. to pursue the seat in the Senate being vacated by Mr. Richardville his life long buddy. Hmmm…

Couple that with another Richardville “yes man” former Monroe County Republican Party “puppet” chairman and current county commissioner Jason Shepard being “anointed” to run for the State Rep. seat being vacated by current State Rep. Dale Zorn.

Oh the webs they weave in the political arena here in Michigan. Word from inside Lansing’s Capitol from a very reliable source is that Mr. Zorn can’t cast a vote without contacting Party leadership as to see how he should vote! Is this representing the people who elected him or the Party? I believe the answer to that is clear. Jason Sheppard with State Representative Dale Zorn

This candidate Jason Sheppard has consistently “name dropped” and “bragged” about having dinners with Governor Snyder and his wife along with Senate Majority leader Richardville and his wife (before their much publicized divorce) at several establishment Party functions so this should show that this candidate is establishment all the way and if elected will represent Party over citizens.

I contacted all my facebook friends who is shown to have liked Jason Sheppard for State Rep. and not one of them said they liked his page! Hmmm…Something bad wrong here folks!

Additional interesting sources and information pertaining to this story:

For those fellow Conservative Patriot friends that his page shows you have liked, several have already un-liked once this was brought to their attention. If you like Snyder and Richardville’s “liberal policies” your sure to like Jason Sheppard and Dale Zorn.

Republicans Collaborate With Left-Wing Liberals Against Conservatives and Tea Party

Amelia Island Ritz HotelAmelia Island in Florida is the gathering “Hot Spot” for the Political Elitist, Lobbyists, Big Labor, and the Republican leadership that all use this “chic” location to collaborate defeating conservatives and the Tea Party Patriots.

The Republican Main Street Partnership’s offshoot “Main Street Advocacy” is one such group that host these events at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island.

The “Main Street Partnership.” is just one of the D.C.-based outfits started by lobbyist Steve LaTourette.

The group has made it its mission to come after constitutional conservatives and to back big-government puppets. As late as 2007, Mitt Romney was a member of the Republican Main Street Partnership.

Why would Republican leaders speak at a fundraiser for a super PAC whose goal it is to take out conservatives? Why would they lend their names to a group that’s in cahoots with Big Labor? Remember those “secret” meetings that Governor Snyder had with the Union Bosses leading up to the passage of RTW? Hmmm…

I would have liked to been a gnat on a fly’s ass during those private meetings as to hear just what kinds of “deals” were struck with the Union Bosses! Can you say Bailout for Detroit? What else?

Steve LaTourette, a former congressman and friend of John Boehner, runs the “Republican Main Street Partnership”. Note the word “Republican.” All Clowns Democrats & Republicans

As the left-wing Talking Points Memo reported a month ago, LaTourette and his Main Street Partnership have created an affiliated SuperPAC called “Defending Main Street PAC.” Along with the Chamber of Commerce and Republican Leaders, the Main Street Partnership wants to take out troublesome conservatives.

Michelle Malkin: Beware of the George Soros funded Republican Main Street Partnership
What do George Soros, labor unions and money-grubbing former GOP Rep. Steven LaTourette all have in common?

They’re control freaks. They’re power hounds. They’re united against tea party conservatives. And they all have operated under the umbrella of D.C. groups masquerading as “Main Street” Republicans.

Once again we’re being lied to. The mainstream media wants us to believe that only “moderation, cooperation and compromise” can save the GOP…and America. This is one of the greatest lies ever told.
First of all, moderation won’t save the GOP. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is the GOP has had a long list of moderate “saviors:”

Nevada Republican Party Drops Opposition to Gay Marriage, Abortion from Party Platform

Past GOP moderates proved to be losers 1 All Past GOP Moderates Candidates

Current GOP moderates will follow the same fate 1 All Current GOP Moderates Candidates

In the United States, a member of the Democratic Party who holds personal political views that are conservative in comparison to those of the majority of his or her political party is known as a conservative democrat.

Although views considered typical for a conservative democrat change over time, many support gun rights, a strong military, education, free market capitalism, smaller government, and fiscally conservative policies and may be anti-abortion with a demonstrably “stronger religious orientation” than moderate and liberal Democrats. 1 John F. Kennedy on God

Like liberal Republicans, conservative Democrats are a minority wing in the party but may provide deciding votes on divisive political issues.

Although conservative Democrats are elected all over the United States, most come from Southern states and have been previously known as “Dixiecrats” or “Boll Weevils.”

These terms were not always used in a complimentary fashion by Democratic Party representatives who drew attention to conservative Democrats that did not vote with the party on key issues.

For example, the term “boll weevils” was frequently applied to conservative Democrats in the 1980s who consistently voted in favor of then Present Ronald Reagan’s increase of military spending, tax cuts and deregulation of the financial system.

http://townhall.com/columnists/wayneallynroot/2013/11/24/why-moderate-establishment-republicans-are-killing-the-gop-n1750865/page/full Limited Government Ronald Reagan

There could be an alternative to the two major Political Party gridlock. If like minded Conservative Democrats and Republicans along with the Tea Party faithful who believe in the strict adherence to the Constitution as to how our country should be governed just maybe we could prevail.

If these factions joined forces as to cast their votes for the Constitution Party with an affiliate here in Michigan  The United States Taxpayer Party a much needed viable political Party could emerge as a true representative of “We the People” that we don’t have now. For years both major Parties have been all about Party and not about the best interest of we citizens.

Is it time for Michigan’s Legislature to go Part-Time?

Full-Time Hypocrisy Just Say “YES” to a Part-Time Legislature

The taxpayers of Michigan would be better “served” with a part-time legislature and it would be more in line with the “Pure Michigan” theme. Michigan legislators worked (in session) only 81 days during 2012 and 100 days in 2011; pay them accordingly.A Part Time Legislature

The way it’s set up now only works for the legislators, the powerful “lobbyist” and “special interest” that contribute to their campaign coffers.  Essentially public policy is set by these groups over “We the People” who have elected them to represent and serve us. The public be damned.

The idea that they are working for us just does not cut it. The only thing they are working on is getting re-elected so that they don’t lose the gravy train they already enjoy along with their spot at the public “feeding” trough.

Many legislators constantly complain about people receiving welfare benefits without knowing their situations by claiming they are lazy and refuse to look for work. These legislators are in session for less than half of the 365 days a year, and yet receive all the benefits of a full-time worker.

They are nothing more than elected welfare recipients, getting all the benefits from the taxpayers in this state without having to show up for work.

Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce advocates for some semblance of legislative reform, especially in light of the fact that far and away the majority of states across the nation accomplish their work on a part-time basis and have for years.

Since they were able to pass 282 bills (that the majority of us didn’t want) in three weeks of the lame-duck session, three to four weeks is all they need to work. Cut their pay 75% with no more free public-paid health care. Maybe then the citizens of Michigan will finally get their money’s worth.

Feel the pain – it’s time for the part-timers to become part-time. Our illustrious Legislature is overdue to become part-time. Since they act like part-timers and meet so infrequently, let’s make them what they are: part-time! While we’re at it, reduce that over inflated salary to part-time status as well. It’s time these politicians feel the same pain we do with reduced incomes, higher taxes and less benefits.

With big money including “corporations as people,” controlling the legislative process representing the people of your district is a dream.

The only communication I receive from my legislator is a reply from a staff person telling me why my representative disagrees with my position or suggestion, if I receive even that. I have been told by my representative that I just don’t understand how the legislative process works! Oh but I understand all to well.
http://www.freep.com/article/20130204/OPINION04/302040006/Letters-Michigan-legislators-work-only-80-days-pay-them-accordingly

Let’s take a look just some of the wasted time spent by our elected lawmakers in Lansing shall we.

Here in 2014 while our legislators were “in session” Senator Rick Jones (R) got into a facebook exchange with the president of the Michigan Open Carry organization over the Remington Gun manufacturer building a plant in Alabama bringing that state over 2,000 jobs.

Looks to me like our legislators have way to much time on their hands! If they have the time while “in session” to surf the Internet and get into debates we need a part-time legislature.

Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley Led State Officials in taking the Legislative Polar Plunge

Raising money for charity is an admirable cause but not on taxpayer time. If any Michigan worker were to do this as an employee at their work place do you really think their employer would go for it?A Legislative Polar Plunge

I don’t think so and they would be looking for a new job! Our elected officials are elected to serve all Michigan citizens and not just one special group.

This bipartisan group of legislators had a swimming pool brought in and filled with warm water to take this plunge in front of the Capitol building in Lansing. Some wore suits, some wore costumes such as superman and one was dressed as a German-Austrian with a stein full of beer. Keep in mind this was at 3:00 in the afternoon while “in session.”
http://www.adn.com/2014/02/27/3349135/calley-others-take-plunge-for.html

Sen. Roger Kahn, R-Saginaw Twp. in 2013 introduced a resolution for “Talk Like a Pirate Day” that was approved by his fellow legislators. Khan celebrated the passage by taking the podium Tuesday while wearing a black eye patch and saying, “It’s time, and now recognized, that the state of Michigan acknowledges this holiday and grants it the recognition it truly deserves.” Kahn pointed out that Michigan is the Great Lakes state and should support and promote “worthy maritime initiatives.”A Roger Kahn Pirate Patch

Michigan Senate Minority Leader Gretchen Whitmer, D-East Lansing, however, didn’t think very highly of the resolution. “I just want to thank the senator from the 32nd District for making the most compelling argument he could for a part-time legislature,” Whitmer said.
http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/22518808/michigan-to-officially-recognize-talk-like-a-pirate-day

Is now the time for Michigan’s Legislature to go part-time?

You bet it is! I and many I have conversed with all agree that the less time our elected officials spend in Lansing the less damage they can do! More time spent with constituents in their districts and their concerns and the less time spent with “lobbyist” and “special interest” that “pay” for their agenda to be advanced on public policy the better.

Detroit News Report falls short on Michigan’s Road Fund Money Allocation Problem

Michigan ranks dead last in the nation when it comes to its per capita spending on its roads and bridges, according to a report citing U.S. Census Bureau data. Is it because Michiganders don’t pay a high enough gas tax, or have our legislators been re-directing our road tax dollars elsewhere?

Michigan has the 5th highest Gasoline Tax in the nation, only Democrat controlled CA, NY, HI, CT are higher! Michigan’s gas excise tax is 19 cents per gallon. Michigan also collects sales taxes and an environmental regulation tax for a whopping grand total of 39.4 cents per gallon.

Michigan legislators have been stealing, robbing and shifting “our” road fund monies for years! Now that the kitty is bone dry they have the gull to suggest “we taxpayers” pony up by accepting a gas tax and vehicle registration fee increases.  Article continues below the picture.

Gas Tax Hike Snyder

Michigan legislative Transportation and Infrastructure committee chairs Wayne Schmidt (R) House and Tom Casperson (R) Senate would serve their constituents and all Michigan motorist well by pushing legislation that would outlaw any further diversions of Gasoline Tax monies from roads, bridges and infrastructure. Unfortunately these two seem more concerned about “Horse Trading” with politically well connected real estate developers.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20140213/METRO05/302130103/Michigan-ranks-last-per-capita-spending-roads-bridges

There is a clear pattern of history here of transferring  “stealing” our road tax dollars for other unspecified state spending projects by our elected officials. And our legislators have the gull to propose new taxes on the citizens of Michigan as to repair our roads! Just say no to any new road taxes!

Republican Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville gave a legislative update to the Monroe Chamber of Commerce on Friday, January 10 2014. When he was through giving this update he opened up the floor for questions.

The very first question asked from a chamber member was, there is a lot of talk about a gas tax increase and vehicle registration fee increases coming out of Lansing will we be seeing this in 2014.

Mr. Richardville responded that we will see some sort of “re-alignment” in the gas tax structure but not until after the 2014 elections! Hmmm…I would say that is code word for “yes” we will see a gas tax and vehicle registration fee increase and you can take that to the banksters who donate to their campaign coffers!

2003 “Forgive” Mackinac Bridge Authority Taxpayer Loan

At a time when the state is struggling to repair its crumbling roads, this bill and the others in the Mackinac Bridge bill package would take more than $5 million away from repairing Michigan’s roads and bridges. Further, the bills in this package would forgive a combined debt of over $65 million owed to the state (we the taxpayers) in restricted funds that are used to fix our roads.”

Fast forward to 2014 and guess what Michigan taxpayers “the chickens have come home to roost” and you Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayers of Michigan are now on the hook for fixing this problem perpetrated on the taxpayers of Michigan by the very “thieves” we have elected to serve us!

2003 House Bill 4627 Introduced by Rep. Tom Casperson (R) on May 6, 2003, to forgive state loans to the Mackinac Bridge Authority.
http://www.michiganvotes.org/2003-HB-4627

Fiscal Analysis – MACKINAC BRIDGE AUTHORITY LEGISLATION
HB 4627 (H-1) would amend Section 7 of 1952 PA 214 (the Mackinac Bridge Authority’s authorizing statute) the bill would forgive certain “advances” made to the Mackinac Bridge Authority in the Motor Fuel Tax Act – effectively from the Michigan Transportation Fund (MTF).

Tom Casperson 38th district

As of September 30, 2002, there remained an unpaid balance of $53.2 million associated with this advance. Subsection 5 of the bill indicates that this advance is repaid or forgiven effective March 1, 2003.

A very small legislative sampling of how our road tax money is shifted below and there are many others.

Transfer road tax money to other purposes (Senate Roll Call 539) All Senate Republicans voted in favor to reduce the amount of infrastructure project spending from the transportation economic development fund by $12 million in the Fiscal Year that ends Sept. 30, 2009, and another $12 million in the next fiscal year. House Bill 5073 diverts this money to other state spending that was Signed into law by then Gov. Jennifer Granholm on November 3, 2009.
http://www.michiganvotes.org/RollCall.aspx?ID=423745

Transfer road tax money to other purposes (Senate Roll Call 404) All Senate Republicans but one voted in favor to transfer $5.7 million from the state “Comprehensive Transportation Fund” (from which subsidies to public transportation systems are paid), and use the money instead to avoid reductions in non-transportation state spending in the 2009-2010 fiscal year. See also House Bill 5679 (which transfers money from another source into the CTF). This one was Signed into law by then Gov. Jennifer Granholm on September 17, 2010.
http://michiganvotes.org/RollCall.aspx?ID=505897

2011 Senate Bill 411: Create “DRIC/NITC” bridge authority Introduced by Sen. Randy Richardville (R) on June 7, 2011, to “revise” the state road tax “allocation” law to “accommodate” the authority proposed by Senate Bill 410 to build a new bridge between Detroit and Windsor (the “Detroit River International Crossing” or “New International Trade Crossing,” a.k.a. “DRIC” or “NITC”). This would essentially take road fund monies away from our roads and transfer those monies to this new government authority! AKA, BIGGER GOVERNMENT!

Bill Ballenger, editor of Inside Michigan Politics, frequent panelist on “Off the Record” with Tim Skubick and a former Republican state senator, called DeVos “a good behind-the-scenes organizer and a good fund raiser”. Wasn’t Obama a good behind the scenes community organizer too?

We have all witnessed the all out assault on the Grassroots, Conservatives and Tea Party from the Republican establishment elitist power brokers from the federal, state and local levels. This is all about power and control over the GOP membership and their dictating from the top down. The direction of the Party is supposed to be from the bottom up! With the likes of Karl Rove, Betsy DeVos and others it just proves this out.

Demand War Between GOP Tea Party

The evidence is overwhelming, the current Republican’s past and present want to move to the Progressive left with Tax Payer Funded Abortion, Communist Core, MEDC Crony Capitalism, SnyderCaid, Obama Style “Promise Zones”, and support of the Gay and Lesbian lifestyle against the parties stated platform and planks. All the above goes against the Principles, Traditions and values that the Republican Party once stood for.

If we as Conservative Republican’s continue to support and cast our votes for this march to the liberal left we are no better than the socialist Democrats! My fellow Patriots we are In serious trouble when low information Republican voters espouse to this kind of ideology it’s little wonder why we as a state and country are in the shape we’re in and with this kind of voter mentality “Houston we have a Problem”. This is a quote from someone who claims to be Tea Party – it’s still better to have a Republican than a Democrat in the seat.
